Thanksgiving Food Drives in Phoenix

Desert Mission’s 2025 Walk-up Turkey Distribution

Saturday, November 22 | 7 am

The Desert Mission Food Bank in Phoenix will be handing out 2,000 turkeys and sides to community members in need on November 22nd. The food drive begins at 7 am and will continue until supplies run out. You can support this program with a financial donation or by donating food at any time during their open hours. Make sure the food is non-expired, contains a nutrition label, is unopened, and in its original packaging. 

Rio Vista Center’s Turkey Day

Saturday, November 22 | 9 am – 12 pm

The Rio Vista Center in Phoenix supports the Arizona community every year by distributing turkeys and bags of food on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year, the annual Turkey Day event falls on November 22nd and will run from 9 am to 12 pm. You can help by donating $20 to provide a frozen turkey and sides to one household. If you would like to volunteer, make sure to register ahead of time

Salvation Army Free Thanksgiving Meal

Thursday, November 27 | 9 am

The Salvation Army is offering a free holiday meal for community members in need, including veterans, families, and neighbors. This meal will be provided at the Phoenix Convention Center on Thanksgiving day. Doors open at 9 am, and the meal service will run from 10 am to 1 pm. Volunteers can help out in a variety of ways, from cooking, serving, and delivering meals to greeting guests, decorating, and cleaning—sign up here
