Arizona Parades and Festivals to Enjoy This 4th of July

The 4th of July is a time of celebration, patriotism, and coming together as a community. In Arizona this year there will be a wide variety of festivals and parades to enjoy that perfectly capture the spirit of Independence Day.

Whether you like parades, fireworks, or festivals, you’ll be sure to find a spectacular celebration that the whole family can enjoy. Here are some of the best events to check out this 4th of July.

Five Things to Do in Arizona on the 4th of July, 2023

1: The Tempe Town Lake Festival

Tempe Diablo Stadium
2200 W Alameda Drive
Tempe, AZ 85282

Tempe Town Lake is a beautiful place to make unforgettable Fourth of July memories with your family and friends. The festival runs from 5pm to 10pm and features live music, food, games, activities, and fun for the whole family.

There’s also a VIP area with specialty foods and drinks. And don’t forget the impressive fireworks show in the evening—you won’t want to miss how the display dazzles over the water’s reflection.

2: The Flagstaff Independence Day Parade

Historic Downtown Flagstaff
Beginning at Elm & Beaver
Flagstaff, AZ 86001

Celebrating the Fourth of July isn’t complete without a parade, and the picturesque mountain town of Flagstaff puts on a great one every year. The Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Parade runs from 9am to 11am, and starts at Elm and Beaver. The parade then turns left onto Aspen and continues to San Francisco, heads north on San Francisco, and circles back to Elm. You’ll be sure to catch vibrant floats, marching bands, and more parading through Historic Downtown Flagstaff.

3: Fabulous Phoenix Fourth

Steele Indian School Park
300 E Indian School Road
Phoenix, AZ 85012

If you’re a big fan of fireworks, then Fabulous Phoenix Fourth is for you. This annual event features one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwestern United States, and attracts thousands of guests each year. Your family can also enjoy live entertainment, a variety of food vendors, and a dedicated kids’ area with rides, activities, and more from 6pm to 10pm.

4: Scottsdale’s 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld

WestWorld of Scottsdale
16601 N Pima Road
Scottsdale, AZ 85260

Another family-friendly event that’s fun for all ages is Scottsdale’s annual 4th of July Celebration. Enjoy the largest fireworks show in town, set against the majestic McDowell Mountains.

This event is held indoors from 5pm to 9pm, so it’s a great way to beat the Arizona heat. There’s a lot to do at this patriotic celebration, including junior knight training, old-fashioned cake walks, games, and more.

5: Chandler’s All-American Bash

Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza
178 E Commonwealth Avenue
Chandler, AZ 85225

The All-American Bash is a free event for all ages, and runs from 7pm to 9:30pm. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes, as there will be a musical performance from Turn It Up. This year, the event will feature a spectacular 5-minute pyrotechnic show during the concert in place of fireworks. There will also be family-friendly yard games, balloon art, food, and more.
